I'm assuming you went through Elephant Hill, right? I've just started researching this trip, how hard is the trail? I've been through the Broken Arrow in Sedona for reference.

broken arrow is cake, i did it in a 97 k2500 suburban one. elephant hill isn't difficult though, i only locked in the rear once and only because i didn't feel like choosing a didn't line. scraped my bumper lots, and my cat gaurd a few times but if you have a spotter and armor you'll be fine. my passenger did it last month in a stock height Tacoma with lots more hitting

I'm on 30" tires, and I'll be alone probably. I know it's not the best idea for me to go solo, but right now, that's how it's working out. I've been dying to check out Canyonlands since I moved here and I've got the time this week to do so.

30's might be interesting. Are you armored up pretty well? rock sliders and full underbody protection? VicariousIlive (my pasanger on this trip) has a great writeup with his Taco TRD on 265/75r16 and full armor.

Sliders and a front bumper, that's about it. It's a first gen 4runner, so there really isn't that much more to armor. What am I gonna need to worry about? Just ground clearance, or is suspension flex a big deal?
